In a stunning reversal, Nvidia, the AI chip giant, has once again seized the title of world’s most valuable company, surpassing Microsoft for the first time since January 24. This resurgence comes after a remarkable 24% rally in the last month alone, pushing Nvidia’s market capitalization to a staggering $3.45 trillion, edging out Microsoft’s $3.44 trillion. Fueling this growth is Nvidia’s dominance in AI chips, used by companies like OpenAI, which helped the company post impressive figures for its most recent quarter: a 69% jump in topline revenue to $44.06 billion and Earnings Per Share (EPS) of $0.96, both exceeding analysts’ expectations. Nvidia’s ability to navigate export controls and tariff concerns has also been key to maintaining its upward trajectory.
