The Microsoft Copilot Team is rolling out a fascinating update to its Copilot app on Windows, bringing a whole new level of interaction. Dubbed ‘Vision Desktop Share,’ this feature allows Insiders to share their entire desktop screen with Copilot, enabling real-time analysis, insights, and assistance. Imagine having Copilot coach you through a new game, suggest improvements to your creative projects, or even help refine your resume, all by ‘seeing’ what you see!
Getting started is simple: just click the glasses icon within the Copilot composer, choose the desktop you want to share, and ask for help. To stop sharing, hit ‘Stop’ or the ‘X’ button. The update also enables Vision during voice conversations. Now, when chatting with Copilot, users can provide visual context by clicking the glasses icon and sharing their screen, bridging the gap between audio and visual understanding. The new version 1.25071.125 is being distributed through the Microsoft Store to all Insider Channels, initially in markets where Windows Vision is enabled.
Keep in mind that it’s a gradual rollout, so not everyone will get it immediately. The Microsoft Copilot Team is keen on gathering feedback directly within the app. Click on your profile icon and choose ‘Give feedback’ to share your experiences. This feature promises a more intuitive and collaborative way to interact with your computer. The future is now!
